According to FoxSports.com, the Red Sox have inquired about the availability of Cleveland catcher/first baseman Victor Martinez. Martinez, 30, is earning $5.7 million this season and is under a team option for $7 million for 2010. Martinez is hitting .401 with seven homers and 26 RBI and 31 runs.
