How to find sophisticated Boston Red Sox merchandise online

Boston Red Sox are one of the most illustrated Major League Baseball teams and are a member of the American League Eastern Division. The team's home ballpark is Fenway Park since 1912. The Boston Red Sox have gone though the longest championship droughts in baseball history, which ended in 2004. They have now emerged as one of the most successful MLB teams of the last decade.

Boston Red Sox have seven World Series titles under its belt। The team won World Series titles in 2007, 2004, 1918, 1916, 1915, 1912 and 1903. The long gap in the titles from 1918 to 2007 is said to be the curse of Babe Ruth. A legendary player listed in the Hall of Fame, Babe Ruth played for the Boston Red Sox for a long time. However, in 1919 when Ruth asked for a massive salary hike, Frazee, team's owner back then, sold Babe Ruth to the rival New York Yankees. The ‘BoSox' faced a series of losses while the Yankees won several games because of Ruth. The curse is said to be broken now and Boston Red Sox are out to win titles after titles.

Today, the team has a tremendous fan base. Ever since May 15, 2003 all its home games have been a sold out which is indeed an MLB record. No wonder, the sales of Boston Red Sox are quite overwhelming compared to any other MLB team. If you too are ardent Sox fan, make sure you get Boston Red Sox merchandise especially if you are watching the match in the stadium. You must also get Red Sox merchandise if you are watching it on your TV with friends and neighbors. Sporting stylish Boston Red Sox merchandise is a well-accepted way of exhibiting your love for the team and encouraging players for a win.

Still high for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Red Sox Accessories AND Boston Red Sox gifts!

Yes they’re 12-10 and barely above .500 (.545 to be exact), but I’m still high on them, especially since they’re getting healthy. Case in point, Kevin Youkilis returned to the line-up Monday against the Tigers. And especially since I find great steals, items wise from my favorite online Boston Red Sox team shop. I’ve been pretty busy at the office these days, and you know, gotta look busy or else I might get laid off. That’s why I can’t skip to get to the games as often. And that’s why, lately, I’ve been relegated to online shopping from the Boston Red Sox team shop for Boston Red Sox accessories, Boston Red Sox jewelry, and Boston Red Sox gifts. Is it too obvious I’m a fan?

But seriously though, this recession thing has made it really hard for me to enjoy the Red Sox games. I can’t go out, and I know I need to save, but I need my Red Sox fix, and so I shop for anything and everything Red Sox at the Boston Red Sox team shop online. And I tell you I’m regretting it.

I should have stuck to buying stuff from the team store than going to the Boston Red Sox team shop online. It’s just so easy to keep ordering, it’s addicting. Like at the office earlier, I was browsing at the Boston Red Sox accessories page and found a great Red Sox Polyester Tie I’ve been meaning to get several for weeks now, but with overtime most days, I just don’t have the time nor the energy. So I bought five. Four for me, and one for dad. I know he just loves it when I get him Boston Red Sox gifts. I'm telling you, the Boston Red Sox team shop online is addicting, don't go there.

I should have stopped there, but then I saw this Red Sox Credit Card and Money Clip Holder, also at the Boston Red Sox accessories page, and this great tri-fold, and I knew I just had to bail. Just my luck my click took me to the Boston Red Sox jewelry section. Warning: If you are a fan, don’t go to the online Boston Red Sox Jewelry section, unless you plan on buying some jewelry – it’s that awesome. Chances are you’ll be ordering on the spot. I did.

Mike Lowell as the DH? A 2010 Boston Red Sox Solution

by Michael Pina

Most likely, it won't be with the Boston Red Sox, a team dogged with an inconsistent offense highlighted by a serious lack in middle of the order production since the All-Star break.

Gone will be Ortiz's steroidal baggage, sub-.225 batting average, and most importantly, one of the most feared left-handed hitters the American League has seen in the past seven years.

From 2003-08, Ortiz and Manny Ramirez were the most devastating three-four combination in baseball. They were titans able to jump start Boston's offense the second there was a lull (which were few and far between to begin with).

The Boston Red Six? The Pitching Rotation in The Second Half

by Sara Hannon

On Friday, the Boston Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays to kick off the second half of the season. On the hill for the Red Sox will be Clay Buchholz.

Many will remember Buchholz from his no-hitter in September 2007. Others remember how bad his 2008 season was, as he was shipped off to the minors.

In 2009, Buchholz has been dominating while playing for Triple-A Pawtucket. But with Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, Tim Wakefield, Brad Penny, and Dice-K, there was no room on the rotation.

When Dice-K went down, John Smoltz stepped up. So what do you do with the sixth man on the pitching roster?

Boston Red Sox - Six Players Selected!

by MusketFire

The Boston Red Sox who just happen to be the best team in the American League, had a total of six players selected for this year’s All-Star Game in St. Louis. As Dustin Pedroia and Jason Bay were both selected by the fans to start for the AL side, in this year’s classic. Then it was time for the reserves to be named. Which fell to this year’s manager Joe Maddon, from the Tampa Bay Rays as he rewarded the AL East leading Red Sox by naming four more Sox players to the team.

Maddon selected pitchers Tim Wakefield, Josh Beckett and Jonathan Papelbon along with Kevin Youkilis to represent the AL side. They all deserved to be on the team as they’ve produced all season for the Sox and their fans.

Boston Red Sox Have Quiet Night at 2009 All-Star Game Despite Big Numbers

by Josh Nason

Despite having six players in the 2009 All-Star Game, the Boston Red Sox contingent was mainly quiet Tuesday night—save for AL East rival Carl Crawford robbing a would-be home run given up by eventual winning pitcher Jonathan Papelbon.

Papelbon (W) came in for the seventh inning and threw 10 pitches to three batters, but the one that stood out was a deep fly-out by Colorado's Brad Hawpe to lead off the inning.

Crawford—named the game's MVP—made a leaping catch up the eight-foot wall and snared the shot, preserving a 3-3 tie.

Trade Deadline: What Should The Red Sox Do?

by Matt St. Jean

The trade deadline is arriving at the end of the month and baseball has yet to see any really significant moves from the big players in the game, notably the Yankees, Dodgers, Mets and Red Sox.

There are plenty of rumors flying around the Boston Red Sox and it has the Fenway Faithful constantly speculating on who the Red Sox could acquire. Recently it has been Roy Halladay, and how dominating Red Sox pitching would be with Halladay, Beckett, and Lester as a three-headed demon devouring batters at will.

Playing in Boston hasn't changed Bay

By Ian Browne

Once a well-kept secret in Pittsburgh, Jason Bay's hitting heroics are now a regular staple of national highlight programs. This is his third All-Star Game, but first with the high profile that comes when you are a standout performer for the Boston Red Sox.

So instead of his past All-Star experiences, when Bay would sit at his table during media availability and visit with maybe three or four writers, he drew a steady crowd throughout Monday's hour-long availability session.

Red Sox route through June leads directly to October

by Steve Weissman

The Boston Red Sox entered this month with a record of 29-22, stood a game behind the NY Yankees, they prepare to leave it behind with a record of 47-29 and a 3.5-game lead over their archrivals. For those of you without a calculator, this means the club went 18-7 over the past 29 days and gained 4.5 games in the standings. Not a bad piece of work, to say the least, especially considering David Ortiz was struggling when the period began, and Daisuke Matsuzaka was so ineffective throughout he finally was removed from active duty.

Not Such Sweet Sorrow: Time For Red Sox to Part Ways With Julio Lugo

Superior depth and versatility have allowed the Boston Red Sox to camouflage a number of blemishes in the early going this season, including the near-death experience of David Ortiz and the train wreck that has been Daisuke Matsuzaka.

And the ongoing saga of Julio Lugo.

The shortstop problem itself has certainly not been hidden; just the opposite actually. Until Nick Green went into the phone booth and emerged a serviceable Major League middle infielder, it was the most glaring hole on the roster.

Wang Again Appears Lost as Red Sox Surge Ahead in the Division

By TYLER KEPNER

The Yankees have lost all seven games they have played against the Red Sox this season, the latest by 6-5 at Fenway Park. Wang faced 17 hitters, retiring eight and allowing nine to reach base. He looked nothing like the pitcher who fired a two-hit complete game here in April 2008, and the Yankees do not know if he will make his next start.

“I’m not ready to make that decision right now,” Manager Joe Girardi said. “It’s seven minutes after the game. It’s something we’ll discuss. I’ll sleep on it, and in five days, someone will be out there.”

Boston Red Sox Team Merchandise is Bestseller in Online Baseball Memorabilia Store

The popularity of a mlb team’s merchandise is directly proportional to the size of its fan base. Little wonder that the Boston Red Sox have such a great history of merchandise sales. The team’s fans are legion. Not only are they one of the most successful teams of the decade, having won two World Series Championships in the last four years (for a total of seven as a franchise), they are also one of the teams most steeped in history.

The Red Sox have been in existence since 1901, far longer than any fan can remember. The team was there from the beginning of the league, being one of the eight charter franchises. During those early years, they were the dominant power in baseball. They took the first World Series in 1903 against the Pittsburgh Pirates and again four more times before 1919. However, after that came the longest drought in league history. Oh yes they came close many times, but only in 2004, more than 80 years after their last win did they again recapture the World Series Championships. And of course, they did it again last 2007 and even today figure to be one of the top contenders.

Boston Red Sox Gifts
Boston Red Sox Gifts
The enormity of the Red Sox fan base is such that you would certainly easily find someone you know who is a fan of the team to some degree. This enormous fan base has given rise to the manufacturing of many gift items targeted at these fans. Little wonder then that if you do know a Red Sox fan, it’s bound to be quite easy to find a gift item for him or for her. All you have to do is click on an item online and you’re done.

Here are some gift suggestions you can consider as gifts for die hard Red Sox fans:

Topping the list of potential Boston Red Sox Gifts you can buy are memorabilia items such as replica mini helmets and Red Sox team trinket boxes. However, for more serious fans, there are high value minted commemorative coins as well as limited edition photo mints of prominent players, both active and those already in the hall of fame. There are also limited edition commemorative coin sets that celebrate important Boston Red Sox milestones, which are sure to become important and valuable collector’s items in the years to come.

Boston Red Sox Jewelry
Boston Red Sox JewelryAnother category that has enjoyed an upsurge in sales is the Boston Red Sox Jewelry category. The section contains a lot of items to choose from, starting with casual wearing silver earrings made in the likeness of the Red Sox Logo, logo shaped pendants, rings, and logo embossed watches.

Boston Red Sox jewelry is best worn casually, especially if you are able to complete a game time ensemble that combines team apparel and matching jewelry. You will surely be the best dressed die hard Red Sox fan at the stadium. However, you can also wear your Red Sox themed jewelry at the office, as some of the bracelets and necklaces, and even watches are so well crafted that they complement office attire pretty well. There are watches of every make, every model, and every size – for men, women, and kids too. There are leather strap watches, chronographs, classic silver strap watches and even Velcro strap models that cling to your wrist no matter how hard you swing a bat.

Wearing team-themed jewelry is a good way to break the monotony of office wear, without compromising dress code. It may even be a way for you to start a conversation among fellow Boston Red Sox fans at the office whom you never knew to be fans.

Boston Red Sox Home Decor
Red Sox Home Run Snowman Night LightRed Sox Grand Slam Night LightRed Sox Logo Mantle ClockRed Sox Ceramic Platter
Last of the list of top sellers is Boston Red Sox home décor. There are two possible explanations for this phenomenon. It is either Boston Red Sox fans really just love their team so much that they are willing to populate their home with team-themed furniture, or second, the furniture really just looks great and are comfortable to use. Of course there could be a third explanation – which is that fans do love the team, and the items really are of high quality and are quite comfy too. The sure money is on the third.

You can get Boston Red Sox Home Décor for your living room, bedroom, TV room, - and yes even the bathroom. The living room will look good with a Boston Red Sox video chair or two near the TV, and maybe a red Sox Big Daddy recliner a little to the side. There are also Red Sox kitchen utensils, placemats, salt and peppershakers, and serving trays. The bedroom could even be improved by several Red Sox pillows here and there and maybe a Red Sox headboard, which will surely have you dreaming of more pennants and World Series wins while you sleep.

New Red Sox obsession: What's wrong with Daisuke Matsuzaka?

By 'Duk

It wouldn't be Red Sox Nation without a crisis du jour and now that everyone has come to peace with the end of Big Papi's career (albeit somewhat begrudgingly), there's a new hand-wringing subject for Boston's woe-are-we community.

Goes by the name of Dice-K.

John Smoltz Nearing Return: Should Red Sox Pitchers Worry?

by Eric Annett

Last night, John Smoltz made more progress to advance himself on the long road of recovery from last year's season-ending shoulder surgery.

With Pawtucket hosting the visiting Durham Bulls, Smoltzy fired six innings for the PawSox, limiting Durham to one run and one hit with two walks and three strikeouts. 51 of his 74 pitches found the strike zone, as Smoltz retired the last ten batters he faced.

After the game Smoltz said his shoulder felt fine. During the game, he topped out at 91 MPH on the radar gun.

How Nick Johnson could fit in Boston

A rival talent evaluator mused Thursday about how Nick Johnson -- who has been the subject of trade talks between the Red Sox and Nationals -- would be perfect for Boston. Washington is asking for pitching, but Boston is reluctant to part with any of its better young pitchers.

"He'd be perfect for the Red Sox," the evaluator said. "You put Johnson and [Kevin] Youkilis together in that lineup back-to-back, and the opposing pitcher would constantly need eight or 10 or 15 pitches to get through just those two guys every time through the lineup."

Red Sox reportedly ask for Donald in return for pitcher

By Todd Zolecki

The Phillies have been playing good baseball for three weeks, and pitching is a big reason why.

They had won 16 of 20 games entering Friday night's game against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The pitching staff had a 3.86 ERA in that stretch (it had a 5.36 ERA before that), and Phillies starters are 7-0 with a 2.72 ERA in the seven games since Brett Myers left a May 27 game against the Marlins with a hip injury that likely ended his season.

Josh Beckett Cruises in Red Sox Win

by Nick Poust

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Detroit Tigers center fielder Curtis Granderson lined a fastball into right field for a single, moving Magglio Ordonez, who had reached on a walk, to second base.

Just like that, Boston Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett’s bid for a no-hitter was broken.

His offense gave him a lead to work with before he took the mound. Second baseman Dustin Pedroia, newly inserted into the leadoff spot, nailed the first fastball he saw from Armando Gallaraga for a single.

Right fielder J.D. Drew, who was also part of the lineup’s reconstruction, was next. Gallaraga missed with a fastball, then twirled in a nasty changeup for a strike. For remainder of the plate appearance, Drew saw nothing but sliders.

David Ortiz plans to see eye doctor for help

By Ron Borges

Although his batting average remained shriveled, David Ortiz [stats] was in an expansive mood yesterday at Comerica Park.

Ortiz hit two balls solidly the night before, the last for a double that gave him something good to sleep on. So, too, did the fact he knew with a day game after a night game and a potentially nasty opposing pitcher like Dontrelle Willis, he would be given a respite from what has been perhaps the most challenging period of his career.

Would Glavine Go For Boston? If So, Where Would He Fit?

by Anthony Emerson

A source close to Tom Glavine told Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald that the Boston Red Sox are "close to the top, if not at the top..." of a potential list of teams that Glavine could lend his services to.

The Red Sox have signed Glavine's long time friend and teammate John Smoltz during the offseason.

As I'm sure you know, Glavine was recently cut by his longtime team, the Atlanta Braves.

If Glavine is intrested in Boston, this would lead to the dilemma: Where would Tommy Glavine fit with the Red Sox?

The answer is, nowhere really.

Boston Red Sox Position Players Report Card: Model of Mediocrity in May

by Todd Civin

When not pounding the pavement for the elusive sports writing position, I spend my time as a substitute teacher in a neighboring town. My wife and I have made the decision to keep on chasing the sports writing dream, but to also turn one eye in the direction of becoming a full-fledged educator.

In my ever-so-brief vocation as a substitute, I can already sense some of the frustration a teacher feels when a star pupil forgets to bring his brain to class.

Boston Red Sox: Francona's Lineup Changes Produce Powerful Results for Red Sox

by Matt Dolloff

The Boston Red Sox were just 15-14 in May, going through some tough road swings and suffering from inconsistency on both sides of the ball. They could have easily finished 14-15 if not for yesterday’s 8-2 victory at Toronto, and who knows how the game would have ended up without the changes manager Terry Francona made to the lineup?

The Red Sox entered Sunday’s game 1-4 in their previous five games, and they scored only 13 runs in that span. Francona felt it was time to make a radical change in order to spark the offense to produce like they had as recently as the beginning of May.

He mentioned how the lack of production from the majority of the lineup was becoming more prevalent.

John Smoltz is about to remind us how smart Boston Red Sox are

by William Freehling

John Smoltz is close to reminding us again just how smart the Boston Red Sox are.

Given up for dead by the Atlanta Braves after suffering a shoulder injury last year, Smoltz signed on with the Red Sox for $5.5 million. That's right, the Red Sox gave a 42-year-old man coming off shoulder surgery more than $5 million to pitch just half the regular season.

Most teams, which think conventionally, would have scoffed at that price tag. But the Red Sox aren't most teams. They saw past Smoltz's surgically repaired shoulder and looked at career numbers that are mind-numbing -- 210 wins, 154 saves, more than 3,000 strikeouts and a career 3.26 ERA. They also looked at a guy with legendary athleticism and competitive drive.

Top 10 goosebump moments in Boston sports history

Honorable mention
Team USA’s “Miracle on Ice” 4-3 win over the Soviets at the 1980 Olympics: The Americans defeated the Russians thanks to the decisive goal by Winthrop’s Mike Eruzione and 36 saves by North Easton’s Jim Craig.

Manny Ramirez’s walk-off home run in the 2007 ALDS against the Angels: Down 3-1 in the ninth inning of Game 2, Manny Ramirez launched a three-run, walk-off home run to give the Red Sox a 2-0 series lead. Ramirez stood in the batter’s box, hands raised, heroically watching his bomb soar over the Monster seats.

Boston University’s win over Miami (Ohio) to take home the 2009 hockey national championship: The Terriers popped two goals in the final minute of play to force overtime before scoring the game-winner with 8:13 left in the extra period to win 4-3, claim their fifth title and deny the RedHawks their first NCAA crown in any sport.

Celtics’ triple overtime win over Suns in the 1976 NBA Finals: The Suns erased a 22-point deficit in regulation and eventually forced three overtimes, but John Havlicek and the Celtics finished them off 128-126 in one of the greatest NBA games ever played.

Pedro vs. Indians in Game 5 of the 1999 ALDS: Pedro Martinez came out of the bullpen to pitch six hitless innings while striking out eight en route to Boston’s 12-8 comeback win over Cleveland to advance to the ALCS.

10. Ted Williams’ last weekend of his .400 season

Williams was offered a seat on the bench to protect the first .400 season since 1930, but Williams declined. Clay Buchholz just misses throwing perfect game for Triple A Red Sox

That question has to cross Clay Buchholz's mind every day lately, as he continues to put together an eye-popping season for the Triple A Pawtucket Red Sox instead of pitching for the "big boys" in Boston.

But he was even more dominating than that: he went to a three-ball count on only one batter and threw only 96 pitches, 70 of which were strikes.

There is risk, like with JD Drew and Julio Lugo, both of whom were vastly overpaid for the services and both of whom are probably more suited to play elsewhere.

Baseball Betting - Blue Jays at Red Sox Baseball Betting Odds

by John Bower

The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox conclude their three-game series on Thursday at 7:10pm EST as Robert Ray faces Jon Lester.

The Blue Jays have been leading the American League East in baseball betting for most of the season but they are now on a tough road trip with Fenway Park their first stop.

Ray has pitched well for Toronto this season going 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA. He got his first Major League win on Saturday as he beat the White Sox 2-1, going 8 innings and allowing only three hits.

The young pitchers for Toronto have done very well this season but pitching at Fenway is never easy.

"In all honesty, when you're out there playing, whether you're pitching or you're hitting, if you really concentrate you don't hear anything," Toronto manager Cito Gaston said.

Tim Wakefield sharp again as Boston Red Sox defeat Toronto Blue Jays 2-1

Beantown Beatdown: The Worst Week in The History of Boston Sports

by Kevin H. MacLean

It is Thursday night.

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, for professional hockey. I can't say with certainty that I've ever watched a NHL game with any real emotional investment since the lockout and yet there I was, sitting and rooting for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Now normally, I would never support the Hurricanes. Growing up only 20 minutes from Hartford I am probably the last generation old enough to remember the Hartford Whalers and normally, I would never support evil that they have now become. But they just happened to be playing the Bruins. The Boston Bruins.

And then, Scott Walker! Fist pumps abound in my bedroom as the the Hurricanes made sure that Zdeno Chara would be watching the Stanley Cup finals from his couch.

The Celtics had already gone down earlier that night to ensure a Game Seven against the Magic and the Bosox had been beaten for the second game in a row as the Yankees won their third straight.

Mariners keen on Red Sox

By Sean McAdam

SEATTLE - There’s something about the Red Sox [team stats] that intrigues the Seattle Mariners.

As the two teams prepared to play the middle game of their series last night, the Sox had three people in their dugout who had interviewed for the position of Mariners manager - and a fourth who politely declined an invitation.

Meanwhile, back in Boston, a member of the Sox baseball operations staff was sought last winter when the Mariners were looking for a new general manager.

“I can’t get anyone to leave there,” joked Seattle president and chief operating officer Chuck Armstrong.

While Terry Francona was named manager of the Red Sox after the 2003 season, he interviewed with Seattle a year earlier. It was, in fact, during his stay in Seattle that Francona suffered complications from an earlier knee surgery that resulted in a hospitalization and nearly led to an amputation.

Even in Iraq, Red Sox-Yanks a hot topic

By Mike Sullivan

It's sad the way our servicemen and women have become below-the-fold and inside news. The war rages on, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan, but much of our country's focus is elsewhere. I can't speak for everybody, but anytime I hear something, bad or good, about the people fighting for our freedom, I tend to tune in. They demand, and should command, our attention.

I heard about a man with local ties recently who is serving in Iraq. Fortunately, it's a fun story about how he's trying to find enjoyment in a situation that most of us can't fathom being in. So without further ado...;

If you've inhabited the Seacoast region for a while, especially the Hampton area, you may have run into James Scott at some point. Hopefully it was for a good reason — he was a part-time officer with the Hampton Police Department for eight years from 1985 to 1993.

Scott is one of those guys people just liked, unless of course he cuffed you, stuffed you and escorted you to a bad guy suite at the police station. Among Scott's fans is New Hampshire Commissioner of Corrections William "Bill" Wrenn.
