Jeff Passan, of Yahoo! Sports, reports that Boston Red Sox SP Jon Lester has agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $30 million. The deal also includes a $13 million team option in 2014, according to a source close to the team. The deal, which is contingent on Lester passing a physical Tuesday, March 10, would be the largest ever given to a pitcher with approximately two years of service time.
